The
federal government has given Disney $21.6 million AU for financial
incentives in order for them to start production on the new movie. While
the offer form the Australian federal government it's still not enough
money for Disney, it's believed that they could reach their target by
approaching state governments for funding. “The government is pleased to
agree to Disney's request to enable earlier funding to be re-purposed
for the production of Pirates of the Caribbean 5” although Disney is
still not convinced of shoot in Australia, there are reports that they
are considering filming Mexico - where Titanic was filmed. Pirates of
the Caribbean 5 are expected to begin production early next year and
release some time in 2017.
